weather forecast..sunny skies

she watched the sky swell up with grey,
the dark kind of clouds you can't chase away.
running for the bus to escape the rain,
barred from entering, efforts in vain - no insurance what a shame.
she searched for shelter, Mac and art in tow,
none to be found, what a blow.
captured a taxi despite all the rain,
I don't really know, but the fare must've been killer - what pain,
got home, soaked to the bone,
damn this fowl weather I wish it'd just leave me alone!
took a hot shower, to thaw herself out,
I'm almost certain she stayed in till the hot water ran out.
one essay on the industrial revolution later and it's time for bed,
look on the bright side at least she doesn't have an aching head.
now she lies in bed, nose aflame, blankets wrapped tight,
lets all pray she survives the night.
